The Formulary is divided into three parts. The first part is the Drug Formulary which lists drugs by their generic name in alphabetical order. Drug combinations are listed under their proprietary name. The second part is the Therapeutic Action List where drugs are listed according to their therapeutic use. The third part is the Trade Name Index where the trade name is cross reference to its generic name. For each drug in Part I of the Formulary, there is a description of its therapeutic action or actions and the dosage form of forms that are available in the pharmacy. The dosage format begins with the identification of the species for which the dosage is intended, followed by the dosage, and then the reference to where the dose was obtained. For some drugs, more that one dosage may be listed, especially, if the drug is used at a dose either above or below its labeled or package insert dose. - from Amzon
